INSTRUCTORS
Tracie Arlington
Owner and Lead Instructor

Tracie has her black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has been teaching self-defense courses since 1998 to women, teens and children. She is also a certified "Rape Escape" instructor for the Women's Self-Defense Institute (www.RapeEscape.com). In 2006 USA Freestyle Martial Arts voted her "Instructor of the Year." Tracie has conducted classes for colleges, high schools, local businesses, children's camps, places of worship, community centers, Girl and Boy Scout troops, teen groups, and mother's groups. She is also a local speaker to Mom's groups and Women's organizations throughout San Diego County. The mother of two young sons, she is an advocate of child safety training. She also has a BA in Communications, with an emphasis in training.
Tad Anderson:    A second degree black-belt, Tad has been teaching            Tae Kwon Do and self defense for 4 years at USA Freestyle Martial Arts.

Chad Hatch: After earning his black-belt , Chad went on to teach the martial arts at the Escondido YMCA.  He has been an instructor with Play It Safe for five years.
Alyse Pritchard:   Black-belt and community volunteer, Alyse enjoys teaching teenage girls and women self defense.
Zak Smith:  He has been a black-belt since 2000 and was voted "Ultimate Student of the Year" at USA Freestyle Martial Arts.  Zak is a Kinesiology major and also coaches high school football.  He believes the most rewarding part of teaching children               self -defense is seeing them have fun while developing their confidence.
Instructors
Matt Arlington:     Matt is the youngest ever to have earned his black-belt at USA Freestyle Martial Arts.  He is now attending San Diego State University with a major in Criminal Justice.  Matt believes that "knowledge" is power when working with children and women.
Hank Jennat:His background is in Kung Fu (SanSoo).  Hank has over twenty years in Private, Corporate & Hotel Security and also owns his own Security Company.  He's also a graduate of the Orange Co. Sheriff Academy, Reserve Bureau.
